An Identity Crisis Word

I recorded a new EASE Series Episode yesterday and scheduled its release prior to learning of Charlie Kirk’s horrific and tragic death. I decided to proceed with posting EASE Series Episode #2: An Identity Crisis 396 Hz, as I have continued to feel Holy Spirit’s prompting on the subject matter throughout. Our nation is in crisis. Multitudes are struggling to process yesterday’s heinous evil. The essence of my EASE Series Episode #2: An Identity Crisis 396 Hz, is absolutely relevant.

GIVE HIM 15

Dutch Sheets honors Charlie in his September 11, 2025, Give Him 15 post. I encourage reading it and include his closing prayer in this post.

“Father, we thank You for the life of Charlie Kirk. He has most certainly left his mark on America and has now become a seed that will multiply throughout our nation. We ask that You inspire thousands of young people in America to pick up the torch he carried. May Charlie, like Stephen of old, never stop preaching. Let tens of thousands of young people trumpet his message. We pray today for his lovely family. They are hurting; the grief will be unbearable at times. You are the Great Comforter, and You can comfort even when the grief is so great. We ask for this peace and comfort for his wife, Erika, and his children. Carry them through this time, wrapping them in Your loving arms. And we pray for our nation.

Comfort the hearts of millions who are hurting and confused. Deliver us, Father, from evil leaders who seek to divide us. You tell us in Proverbs that dividing and sowing discord between brothers is an abomination to You (Proverbs 6:16-19). Heal our nation from the hatred that divides us, and please use this tragedy to do so. All of this we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Transcript from EASE Series Episode #2: An Identity Crisis 396 Hz

We have an epidemic identity crisis in America, which is also creating a purpose crisis. The church at large has majorly contributed to this identity crisis, preaching a message resulting in far too many misunderstanding our Heavenly Father, far too many misrepresenting Jesus, and far too many looking and living no different than the world. The church as a whole is far more sin conscious than love conscious, simply because we do not understand the Father’s love. I am not saying love is love. However, I am saying that Jesus said we would know His disciples by HIS love. That bears repeating. Jesus said the world would know His disciples by HIS love. Back when I radically first encountered Jesus, we use to sing that chorus repeatedly:

They’ll Know We Are Christians By our Love

Written by Peter Scholtes 1960’s
Jason Upton Recording:    • They Will Know We Are Christians

We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord
We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord
And we pray that all unity may one day be restored
And they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love
They will know we are Christians by our love

We will work with each other, we will work side by side
We will work with each other, we will work side by side
And we’ll guard each one’s dignity and save each one’s pride
And they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love
They will know we are Christians by our love

We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand
We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand
And together we’ll spread the news that God is in our land
And they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love
They will know we are Christians by our love

Awaken Love

We need an awakening of His love. Only authentic encounters with Holy Spirit can convict and transform individual lives that awaken His Truth. When we deny Holy Spirit full access to our services, to all facets of our daily lives, to our message and the way we speak and act, focused more on behavioral outcomes than authentic relationships, we hinder the healing process so desperately needed in this hour. I love what The Mirror Bible says in Ephesians 1:6: “The Gospel isn’t about telling people how lost they are, but rather, it’s about reminding them how loved they are!”

His Mercy always triumphs over judgment.
Jesus came to save the world, not to condemn it.

The church at large has embraced a harsh fear based message. The words spoken and prayed oftentimes are sourced in doctrines and theologies over authentic love and concern for individuals. Again, Holy Spirit is the only One who can convict, redeem, restore, and transform what has typically been tragically misrepresented through fear, shame, judgment, condemnation, guilt, manipulation, control, etc. The history and extent of multitudes carrying church hurt and now prodigals is something anyone who works with individuals seeking healing will give testimony to over and over again.

Love Like Jesus

Every single one of us needs to learn to love like Jesus (Read the Gospels, Read 1 Cor. 13). The Father’s love for the Son, the Son’s love for the Father, and encountering that infinite eternal unconditional love for every single individual is the only way forward for every broken hurting wounded traumatized individual the Father loves deeply, regardless of what they’ve done or where they’re at on the journey. The Lord needs vessels on Earth He can trust to safely listen, love, and hold broken individuals being held in captivity to wrong beliefs/horrific circumstances/to whatever life and/or others have done to them/spoken to/over them. Living in the full acceptance of His love and the secure identity of reconciliation and Kingdom purpose Jesus fully purchased for every single individual because of His love is exactly where the harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few.

Encountering Love

Burt Bacharach and Hal David wrote a song in 1965 that was extremely prophetic back then. They prophesied a need for a love so much more authentic and powerful than the love is love of today.

Where the church was meant to be the hands and feet of Jesus has been profoundly missed, instead contributing to wounding, rejection, hurt, manipulation, control, trauma, and brokenness as harshly as the world. This has left a gaping hole for which multitudes are seeking comfort and healing through a plethora of addictions and addictive behaviors that can truly only be satisfied in the Person who IS love: a loving Heavenly Father who perfectly restores a fatherless identity confused and traumatized generation in absolute crisis. Jesus demonstrated, fulfilled, redeemed, reconciled and restored fully what is astoundingly missing today. Only through encountering Him in the fullness of Holy Spirit’s Presence will healing and restoration tangibly manifest. Blow Holy Spirit Blow – in every tongue, tribe, and nation, in every generation in our NOW time for the glory of Jesus!

What The World Needs Now Is Love

Written by Hal David & Burt Bacharach 1965
Jackie DeShannon Recording:
   • Jackie DeShannon – What The World Needs No…

What the world needs now is love sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now is love sweet love
No not just for some but for everyone

Lord we don’t need another mountain
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross
Enough to last ’til the end of time

What the world needs now is love sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now is love sweet love
No not just for some but for everyone

Lord, we don’t need another meadow
There are corn fields and wheat fields enough to grow
There are sunbeams and moonbeams enough to shine
Oh listen Lord, if you want to know

What the world needs now is love sweet love
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of
What the world needs now is love sweet love
No not just for some but for everyone
