Where Honor Needs Restoring
We live in a culture where honor needs restoring. When honor needs restoring, underlying beliefs systems are explicitly exposed. We currently live in a culture that doesn’t believe in God, Jesus, or Holy Spirit. We also live in a culture that has an immeasurably distorted misrepresented view of who God is, utterly devoid of intimate relationship with Him as a good and loving Father, with Jesus as Lord and King, and with knowing Holy Spirit’s voice and leading. Why does either matter where honor is concerned? Because we are all created beings, created in His image to co-labor with Heaven on Earth. When we abdicate our identity and our role or choose to rebel against that identity and role, we become vessels of soulish flesh subject to partnering with the kingdom of darkness where honor is eternally absent.
Belief Systems
At its core, honor comes from caring about what our Creator, our Heavenly Father, cares about. Our belief system is intended to be rooted and grounded in His higher ways and thoughts…as written in His Word. A wise and discerning belief system, able to navigate the tumultuous times in which we now live, was intended to function from Heaven’s perspective with renewed minds, healed hearts and lives.
In a culture where honor is lacking, where honor needs restoring, the belief system is rooted and grounded on everything, anything, and anyone but Yahweh. We don’t believe or care about what He has to say about any of it. Many who do believe or actually do care have not allowed or fervently pursued what He has to say about His ways enough to become His way of doing this life. This is critically where honor needs restoring.
Dishonor
What do I mean? When we don’t honor God, Jesus, or Holy Spirit, we certainly don’t honor Heaven’s perspective on anything in this life. When we don’t believe or honor what He says about the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage, gender as created and defined by the Word, our leaders, our parents, our families, our relationships, our words, our thoughts, our actions, and most certainly, about both people we do and do not know personally, our faulty belief systems are on our full display for all to see. We are there.
Our desensitized belief systems and the lack of honor has permeated government, media, education, arts and entertainment, business, sports, law enforcement, military, medical, family and church. Every mountain of cultural influence has been severely impacted by a blatant lack of honor, i.e. dishonor. We are living in a lawless society, where 24/7 words – written, spoken, and sung – are creating our current realities, spiraling deeper into the darkness of false belief systems.
Healing Our Belief Systems
Faulty belief systems desperately need realigning and healing, one false belief at a time. Without wisdom and discernment, guided by Holy Spirit, wrong beliefs are passed down from generation to generation, desperately in need of someone making a decision to stop the cycle; to begin the work of healing and restoration. This is the juncture we have currently arrived at as a society.
We have more information, more available access, more solutions, more cures, more mental and emotional therapies, etc. at our fingertips than ever before in history. Yet, we battle more illnesses, diseases, mental and emotional maladies, broken relationships, broken marriages, broken identities, broken families, financial lack, and cultural divides than ever before in history. Why? Two wrongs do not make a right. The pursuit of much needed healing of faulty belief systems through faulty belief methods and resources devoid of true healing cannot realign all that’s out of alignment.
Jesus purchased a solution for every one of Earth’s problems, including and especially the times in which we live. We need revival. We need restoration. We need reformation even more. None of this comes from a one time prayer. Jesus is the starting point of every individual journey. We then bring our intention, yielding, surrendering, humility, and commitment each and every day forward to work out transformation as He has promised and provided. We have to do our own individual up close and personal part in this Kingdom journey we have been called to.
Healing Begins with Honor
I believe healing begins with honor. Honoring our Heavenly Father above all. Honoring Jesus and all He gave His life for on behalf of ALL mankind being saved (rather than condemned). Honoring Holy Spirit in every moment as our Teacher, Comforter, and the One who guides us into all Truth. Honoring the Word as our Heavenly Father’s thoughts about how we are called to live this life. He is faithful and worthy of our honor and our trust in the process.
Jesus didn’t come to do away with the commandments. He specifically declared He came to fulfill them. Jesus fulfilled the commandments as a demonstration of His Father’s love, His love for the Father, and that love for all. Honor is love in action; in thought, in word, and in deed. Jesus demonstrated honor. He honored every single one of His Father’s thoughts, purposes, and plans. True honor needs restoring. Honoring the Father, honoring the Son, and honoring Holy Spirit. Honoring His Word. We honor when we believe Him. We honor when we trust Him. We honor when we yield to Him in the journey.
One could interchange the word ‘honor’ in Jesus’ words about the greatest commandments to bring the point home. “Love God. Love others as yourself.” “Honor God. Honor others as yourself.” The world would be an immeasurably better place if we all were intentional to intercede where honor needs restoring. The world would be an infinitely better place if we were all intentional about demonstrating honor where honor is due. Restoring honor is an excellent place to begin healing a broken, lawless, and dishonoring world.
EASE Series Episode #20
I activate the restoration of honor in my EASE Series Episode #20 on my Youtube Channel with a spontaneous holistic frequency infused Holy Spirit inspired instrumental piece. Because restoring honor necessitates a renewing of the mind in the power of the Spirit of Wisdom, this piece is in 852 Hz. I additionally have an instrumental piece entitled, Teach Me Honor, on my Children’s Heart Cry Sound Therapy Album. I also have a chapter, entitled, Teach Me Honor, in The Children’s Heart Cry: The Sound of a Generation book.
