Counting the Cost 2026

This past weekend I attended Counting the Cost 2026: Trust the Journey – Becoming His Warrior Bride. This conference was an immersive weekend of weaving survivor stories and intensive equipping in numerous related areas. The purpose was to better facilitate coming alongside the hurting and the broken, empowering precious and treasured individuals to be overcomers through Jesus in their pursuit of healing and wholeness.

It was an intensely emotional and stretching weekend, although the content was not altogether new. Extensive previous training in Integrative Bioenergetic Restoration Therapy, Discovering Mercy (now called Fern & Audrey From Trauma to Triumph), Christian Counseling, etc. had more than prepared me for this event. Regardless, it will always remain difficult to wrap one’s emotions and thoughts around the immensity of Satan’s evil perpetrated through mankind against mankind, especially the children. 

Divine Appointments

At Counting the Cost 2026, I was blessed beyond measure to meet and hug in person several clients and instructors I have come to know only through online connection. Divine appointments are priceless. I was also abundantly blessed to sit under the mentoring of several instructors I know because of their expertise and my use of their equipping resources. These individuals are generals and pioneers in a very difficult field of healing and wholeness immeasurably needed in this broken generation. This generation is deeply broken immensely beyond the comprehension of the masses.

Activation

Prior to attending Counting the Cost 2026, I prayed I would come away with an activation (not just equipping) or a launching of the new season we have crossed/are crossing into. Surprisingly, the activation came through a reactivation of “Awake Deborah!” (Judges 5). I attended Midwest Awake Deborah events in 1999-2000 via the Brownsville/Toronto Revival years. I still have my journal notes from those years of being immersed in His glorious Presence!

My reactivation was even more strategically and profoundly specific this time: Deborah’s song and the supernatural victory won as she released it. It was specific to confirming Heaven’s strategy for music in the midst of the current battle we are in on behalf of the hurting and the broken. It was specific to confirming an understanding of my own gifting, skills, calling, and anointing pertaining to Heaven’s strategy for music in this NOW time.

The Cost and the Sound

I am stirred in receiving a new level of hearing the victorious breakthrough sound of Heaven’s atmosphere, along with the intercession of the Son with the Father in this NOW time on behalf of the hurting, the broken, the traumatized, the downtrodden, the poor, and those seeking healing, wholeness, identity, purpose, and overcoming that can only be found in Jesus.

I counted the cost a very long time ago. The cost has not remotely been easy. Some seasons of the cost have been traumatic and extremely painful. The cost has required letting go of many things we thought would look different at this juncture of life. I have had to walk intimately with Jesus for my own healing and wholeness in the midst of counting the cost. Truth: He never leaves us or forsakes us. He is right there beside us in every step of the journey. He alone receives all the glory, all the honor, and all the praise. In Jesus alone, I am thankful, grateful and blessed.

The Beach

On the first day of my Counting the Cost 2026 weekend, my husband (beyond thankful, grateful, and blessed for him going on 46 years!) and I road bike over 10 miles along the beach. We would stop every now and then to simply enjoy the water and the waves crashing in and around us. Fresh seafood, biking, hot sand, sun, basking in those awesome ocean waves, and a jam packed weekend of intense equipping made for a very blessed weekend. I am activated and ready to launch!
